The Bucs have promoted tight end Tanner Hudson from the practice squad. They have placed linebacker Kevin Minter on injured reserve. They have also signed linebacker Emmanuel Smith to the practice squad.

Bucs wide receiver Adam Humphries said that the Saints were playing a lot of outside-leverage man and two-man with outside leverage. Humphries said it was "rare" seeing two-man with outside leverage. Basically, the Saints were funneling everything inside towards the strength of their defense. He said they had a hard time identifying the coverages.

Bucs center Ryan Jensen said the heated exchange he had with Jameis Winston was a "little argument," they were both really frustrated and they "cleared the air right away." Winston added, "Brothers have disagreements."

Bucs tight end Cameron Brate, who had two touchdowns in the Bucs' 28-14 loss to the Saints, called it "frustrating" and "demoralizing."

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

I've counted at least five F-bombs shouted from inside the tunnel where Bucs players leave the field. They have a right to be upset after playing arguably their best half of a game of the year, only to fall apart.

The Bucs couldn't have put a better game plan together to stop Drew Brees and the Saints — and it was working. They were in control of this thing. They had this. But Jameis Winston struggled to connect with his receivers. The offensive line let them down with destructive penalties and protection issues, as did special teams with two missed field goals and a blocked punt. They couldn't recover psychologically. The whole sideline was frazzled. Final score 28-14.

Saints fans have now filled the lower bowl at Raymond James Stadium, chanting "Who dat?! Who dat?!" loudly while the Bucs are on offense.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Whatever halftime adjustments the Saints' defense made -- they're working. The Bucs' offensive line is so flustered right now. So many penalties and they're really struggling to protect Jameis Winston.

Saints grab their first lead of the day with a quarterback sneak on fourth down from Drew Brees to make it 18-14 with 11:46 to go in the fourth quarter. This all goes back to that blocked punt from Taysom Hill. Complete momentum-changer.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Yep, that blocked punt has really shifted the momentum here in the Saints' favor -- Jameis Winston was sacked twice on the ensuing drive. The Bucs' defense really needs to settle things down here.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

That Taysom Hill blocked punt could be a major turning point of the game (they got possession at the Bucs' 30-yard line) setting up the Saints' first touchdown of the day -- Drew Brees rolled out and tossed one to fullback Zach Line. They followed that up with a successful two-point conversion to make it 14-11 Bucs with 4:43 to go in the third quarter. Not a good day for Bucs' special teams when you consider Cairo Santos has missed two field goals as well.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Exceptional job by Vinny Curry taking down Mark Ingram for a loss of one on third-and-1, forcing a punt. New Orleans literally has FIVE total rushing yards today on 11 attempts. Stunning. This is the best the Bucs' defense has played all season.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

The Bucs aren't able to capitalize on Carl Nassib's strip-sack that was recovered by Jason Pierre-Paul. Cairo Santos misses his second field goal of the day from 40 yards -- wide right.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

It's back to raining again (and hard) at Raymond James Stadium, which could make for a much different second half for the Bucs and Saints.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Jameis Winston took a hard hit on that second touchdown pass to Cameron Brate and will have his knee checked in the locker room at halftime. This is arguably one of, if not the best first half of football the Bucs have played all season. Winston has tossed two touchdowns, thrown zero interceptions and the defense has held the Saints to just 104 total yards of offense. Pressure on Brees has been outstanding. Bucs lead 14-3.

Tristan H. Cockcroft ESPN Senior Writer

Cameron Brate is the first tight end to score as many as 10 PPR fantasy points against the New Orleans Saints this season, and he's only the second to score a touchdown (he has two) against them (Mark Andrews, Week 7).

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Linebacker Adarius Taylor picked off Drew Brees on a screen pass for just the QB's fourth interception this season. Not a bad way to get a first-career pick. Players celebrated with a single-file, boat-rowing celebration. Whether it was that play or Carl Nassib blowing up Alvin Kamara for a TFL earlier, the Bucs' defense has done an excellent job preparing these last two weeks.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston is going off on center Ryan Jensen after his unnecessary roughness penalty. Jensen had two penalties on that drive (his second was a holding call). Donovan Smith also had a false start. Offensive line coach George Warhop had to get involved.
