In a matchup of two of the Western Conference's top three teams, the Houston Rockets snapped the Portland Trail Blazers' 13-game winning streak with a 115-111 victory Tuesday at the Moda Center in Portland. The Rockets, who have the NBA's best record at 57-14, also now own the league's longest winning streak at six games. James Harden powered Houston's offense with 42 points.

The Trail Blazers' 13-game winning streak ended with a 115-111 loss to the Rockets. MVP frontrunner James Harden scored a game-high 42 points — highlighted by a couple of stepback 3s in crunch time — but it was Chris Paul who sealed the win by chasing down an offensive rebound and draining two dagger free throws.

The Portland Trail Blazers beat the LA Clippers 122-109 in LA to win their 13th straight game, tied for the third-longest in franchise history and the longest since the team won 13 straight in December 2007. The Trail Blazers got 23 points from Damian Lillard and 21 points each from CJ McCollum and Maurice Harkless. The Clippers dropped to 10th in the West at 38-32.
