Orlando has been granted permission to interview Portland assistant David Vanterpool for its vacant head coach position, league sources tell ESPN. Under Vanterpool, Trail Blazers finished seventh in defensive efficiency.

Bucks close out Bradley Center with 102-86 win over Magic

Shabazz Muhammad scored a season-high 22 points and helped spark a key third-quarter run, Eric Bledsoe had a triple-double and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Orlando Magic 102-86 on Monday night in the final regular-season game at the Bradley Center.

With the Thunder clinching a playoff berth, Minnesota now will have Oklahoma City's first round pick in June. The first was sent to Utah to acquire Enes Kanter and eventually traded by the Jazz for Ricky Rubio. With the conditions met with Minnesota, the clock now starts on the 1st round pick the Thunder owe to Orlando in 2020. The first originally sent to Philadelphia to acquire Jerami Grant was traded by the 76ers this past June for the draft rights of Anzejs Pasencniks. The pick is protected top 20 in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The Magic will receive a second in 2022 and 2023 if the draft choice is not conveyed.
